Join our training program to become a Disability Support Worker!
In this program, you’ll get the skills and training you need to get a job as a Disability Support Worker. The program is full time for 7 weeks. At the end, Generation Australia will continue to work with you to secure and train for interviews, and support all graduates gain meaningful employment.
What is included in the program?
- No cost to you*
- Support in employment opportunities post-program
- Part qualification involving 4 units of competency taken from the Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) qualification
- Support for students without access to a computer
*Eligible participants are subsidised by the VIC Government
Can I apply?
You can apply for the program if you:
- Are registered with a Workforce Australia Provider
- Live in the Barwon employment region, VIC*
- Are not currently in education, training or full-time employment
- Are likely to get a clear Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Have a P1, P2, or full VIC driver’s license
- Be an Australian or NZ Citizen, permanent resident or on a humanitarian visa
- Have basic tech, numeracy, and literacy skills
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination [2 Doses + Booster]

What is a disability support worker?
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide support for people living with disability to thrive in their daily lives and support them to achieve their goals. This may include supporting people with disability to engage and participate in their community as well as providing personalised in-home support.
It’s not always easy, but it is one of the most rewarding jobs out there.
