Join our training program to become a Disability Support Worker!
In this program, you’ll get the skills and training you need to get a job as a Disability Support Worker. The program is full time for 7 weeks by Cerebral Palsy Alliance (RTO No. 90213). At the end, Generation Australia will continue to work with you to secure and train for interviews, and ensure all graduates gain meaningful employment.
What is included in the program?
- No cost to you
- Guaranteed interview with an employer at the end of the program
- Part qualification involving 4 units of competency taken from the Certificate III in Individual Support (CHC33015) qualification
- Support for students without access to a computer
Can I apply?
You can apply for the program if you:
- Are connected with an ESP and have a job active number
- Live in Gippsland or South East Melbourne Peninsula, VIC
- Are not currently in education, training or full-time employment
- Can attend class full time for 7 weeks
- Are likely to get a clear Police Check and Working with Children Check
- Have a P1, P2, or full VIC driver’s license
- Be an Australian or NZ Citizen, permanent resident or on a humanitarian visa
- Have basic tech, numeracy, and literacy skills
What is a disability support worker?
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide support for people living with disability to thrive in their daily lives and support them to achieve their goals. This may include supporting people with disability to engage and participate in their community as well as providing personalised in-home support.
It’s not always easy, but it is one of the most rewarding jobs out there.

A few simple steps to get going

Online application form
Fill out the application form online.
Register Interest - 45 minutes 2
English, numeracy & tech tests
We will invite you to take some tests to check your English, numeracy & tech skills. This is to ensure this program is right for you and determine the level of support needed.

Meet us
Once all the tests have been completed, we will invite you to meet one of our friendly team members for an interview. Don’t worry though, this interview is just a casual chat so that we can get to know you.

Orientation
You will be invited to the programs orientation where you will get to meet your trainers, mentor, and fellow classmates. You will also complete some additional paperwork to enrol you into the nationally recognised training with Cerebral Palsy Alliance (RTO No. 90213).

Enrolment
Once we have completed the approved background checks, you will be invited to fill out an online Generation enrolment form to secure your spot on the program.
