Generation Australia Connects with 300+ Job Seekers at Western Sydney Employment Accelerator

Blacktown, NSW — 23 February 2026

Generation Australia participated in the Employment Accelerator 2026 at Bowman Hall in Blacktown, connecting with more than 300 job seekers from culturally diverse and migrant communities across Western Sydney.

Representing the organisation at the event were Head of Programs, Maria Cardinalli, and Instructional Delivery Manager, Dafne, who led engagement at the Generation Australia stall and spoke directly with attendees about available training pathways.

The event was organised by the CaLD and Migrant Employment Working Group and brought together local employers, employment services, and job seekers in one space to support employment outcomes.

Connecting job seekers to training pathways

Throughout the day, Generation Australia provided information about its free, fully funded programs in technology and care sectors. Many attendees were early in their career journey or looking to transition into new industries.

Common questions included:

  • Entry requirements and eligibility
  • Program duration and structure
  • Job outcomes after completion

Maria Cardinalli shared insights into how Generation Australia designs programs to support learners from diverse backgrounds, while Dafne outlined how the training is delivered and what participants can expect during the course.

Strong turnout from Western Sydney community

The Employment Accelerator event included:

  • Approximately 300 job seekers
  • Around 18 local employers across industries such as healthcare, retail, logistics, construction, and professional services
  • More than 20 employment support organisations

The structured schedule allowed for consistent engagement throughout the day, with attendees rotating through sessions and stalls.

Raising awareness of free training opportunities

Generation Australia’s presence focused on increasing awareness of accessible training options for individuals who may face barriers to employment, including migrants and those with limited prior experience in tech or care roles.

The stall enabled direct conversations with potential applicants, helping clarify pathways into programs and next steps for those interested in applying.

Ongoing community engagement

Participation in events like the Employment Accelerator supports Generation Australia’s broader goal of connecting job seekers with practical training and employment opportunities.

The organisation continues to engage with communities across New South Wales to ensure more individuals are aware of available programs and pathways into meaningful work.
