What is IT Support?
IT Support refers to the process of assisting users and organisations with the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, networks, and digital tools. IT Support professionals are the first line of defence when it comes to resolving technical issues—helping ensure systems run smoothly and securely.
They work across a wide range of industries, offering technical help for both hardware and software issues, managing service desk tickets, and maintaining strong cybersecurity practices. In smaller organisations, IT Support may be a generalist role, handling everything from device setup to cloud troubleshooting, while larger companies may have more specialised teams.
To succeed in this field, professionals need strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, combined with a solid technical foundation in areas like networking, cybersecurity, and cloud operations.

What graduates are saying

Aqsa Shuja
Data Analytics Program
“Generation has changed my life for the better! I started working with Accenture as a PMO/Junior data analyst just a few days after graduating from the DA program. From there things started working out for me! I am financially independent now. My self-esteem and confidence have improved. I can choose and make decisions for myself without looking unto others for approval. The way I look at myself has changed. It’s like a solid foundation has been laid for success in my new career.”

Sreekanth Manoharan
Salesforce Development Program
“I graduated from the Salesforce Developer program in October and received communications from post-program coordinators all the way until February. I really appreciated the support and guidance offered by the team. It wasn’t until I put skills into practice that I realised how much my ability to confidently convey my skillset had changed.”

Leigh Grigaliunas
Salesforce Development
“Once I signed on to undertake the course with Generation Australia, it immediately felt like being part of a family where you are understood. Our mentor was neurodivergent herself and knew how to get the most out of the cohort as a group and each individual.”

Evelina Gyulkhandanyan
Cloud Computing Program
“I strongly believe that there should be more support toward organisations like Generation Australia because you prove to be really more efficient and successful in supporting people to get a job.”
